The NTA has released the scanned copies of OMR sheets and responses of the candidates who took part in the re-examination of NEET UG 2026. These documents can be accessed via the official NEET website, and the scanned OMR sheets have also been sent to the candidates via email at their registered email addresses.
Through this feature, the candidates can verify if the recorded responses are according to their marked responses. In case of any discrepancy found, the candidates can object. However, the NTA has clarified that the answer key objection period has ended, and further objections will not be entertained.
The candidates can object the discrepancy in their recorded responses up to 11:00 am of July 15, 2026.
How to Raise Discrepancy in NEET UG 2026 Scanned Responses?
- Log in to the NEET UG 2026 official website using your application ID and password.
- Perform the required 2FA by submitting the OTP sent to your mobile phone number and email.
- Match the scanned OMR sheet with the recorded responses by the scanning process.
- In case of any discrepancy, raise a challenge at the online portal.
- Pay the non-refundable challenge fee of Rs 200 per response through your debit card, credit card or net banking facilities.
- The NTA will only consider the online challenge with the fee.
- Any other method of challenge without a fee will not be accepted.
Important Guidelines for Raising Challenges against Recorded Responses
- Firstly, choose the question regarding which you wish to object.
- Secondly, select the answer choice that you think is selected in your OMR sheet originally.
- Highlight the mistakes, if any, in the important particulars like your roll number, booklet number or set code, wherever applicable.
- The system itself calculates the total processing charges as per the number of objections raised by you.
- Make the payment and submit your objection online, then download the acknowledgment page for future use.
- Check your OMR sheet carefully before raising any objection.
- The response made by completely blackening a circle only with a blue/black ballpoint pen is cnsidered as a valid response.
- Do not upload or submit any tampered/modified OMR image as it is strictly mentioned by NTA that it would be considered as cheating and hence disqualification/debarment from exam, along with legal proceedings can occur.
