MAH CET CAP 2026: JEE Main Scorecard via DigiLocker Now Mandatory; Check New Eligibility, Quota Rules & Last Date

The CET Cell of Maharashtra State has released new guidelines for the MAH CET CAP round 2026 counselling process. The latest guidelines state that all those who are seeking admission into the BE/BTech courses as All India Candidature based on JEE Main 2026 scores have to verify their scorecard through the DigiLocker facility.

Apart from the new CAP registration 2026 process, the CET Cell has also revised the eligibility conditions for admissions to the BBA, BCA, BMS and BBM courses in the MAH CET CAP 2026 counselling process.

The eligible candidates can register for the CAP on the official counselling portal cetcell.mahacet.org until 12 July 2026.

MHT CET CAP 2026 – JEE Main Scorecard Must Be Verified Through DigiLocker

As per the CET Cell, this new criterion comes as per the National Testing Agency (NTA). For all those candidates who will apply for admissions in engineering institutes through the JEE Main 2026 score, one must first upload the scorecard via their DigiLocker account for use during the CAP process.

Without linking the scorecard via the DigiLocker account, one would not be able to complete the admission process through the All India quota.

How to Link JEE Main 2026 Scores for MHT CET CAP?

Steps to be followed by candidates who want to apply under the All India Candidature scheme are given below-

  1. Login into your DigiLocker account and download the JEE Main 2026 score card.
  2. Go to the MHT CET CAP 2026 website, log in and import the downloaded score card using the Fetch/Include JEE Main Score option.

A score card imported through DigiLocker only is treated as a valid score card for counselling purposes.

MAH CET CAP 2026: Eligibility Expanded for BBA, BCA, BMS and BBM Admissions

The CET Cell has revised the admission eligibility for several undergraduate management programs. Students appearing for MHT CET 2026 in the PCM group or the PCB group and having a valid MHT CET score can apply for admission into –

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
  • Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
  • Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)
  • Bachelor of Business Management (BBM)

Use of MHT CET scores is anticipated to increase the chances of admissions for candidates aspiring for management and professional courses in Maharashtra.

Defence and Orphan Reservation Rules Remain Unchanged

As far as the CET Cell is concerned, there have been no changes made to the existing reservation policy with regard to special category candidates.

Where admission through the Defense quota is concerned, it would be done as per the rules laid down by the Maharashtra Government and also in accordance with the notification issued by the Ministry of Defense on 21st May 2018.

Similarly, for admission under the Orphan quota, resolutions of the Women and Child Development Department would be followed.

Separate Admission Portal for NRI, OCI, PIO and Foreign National Candidates

The CET Cell has also announced a dedicated admission portal for candidates applying under the following categories –

  • Non-Resident Indian (NRI)
  • Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)
  • Person of Indian Origin (PIO)
  • Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries (CIWGC)
  • Foreign National (FN)

Candidates belonging to these categories must complete their applications through the separate portal available at fn.mahacet.org

The CET Cell further stated that admissions for OCI candidates will be processed in accordance with the directions issued by the Supreme Court of India.
